And...Oh, you're such a locomotive supremacist.

And while I halfway agree with you on the nationalist jewelry bit, remember: architecture is a form of art, too.

The way I see it, it's not at all that the canvas is too high and mighty for an artist of the people or any self-serving elitist crap like that, but that it has already been used by an architect.

Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4401197942016431104.post-47174843114967636642014-03-14T21:05:14.134+00:002014-03-14T21:05:14.134+00:00I think I would challenge to concept of graffiti b...I think I would challenge to concept of graffiti being a crime. Yes it's against the law as the law stands but I like to think there is a higher natural justice. One where justice prevails. A justice that is untainted by the hands of politicians. A grey area perhaps but I'd probably be on the side of anyone defacing nationalistic sculptural jewellery, and as for aeroplane windscreens well that's only to be encouraged ;-)Paulhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/07546937680008209565noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4401197942016431104.post-64966433422581299522014-03-14T19:57:34.549+00:002014-03-14T19:57:34.549+00:00Graffiti is an aspect of art, that's no quest...Graffiti is an aspect of art, that's no question. Problem is it's also an aspect of crime, as well.

There's a gray area in between, depending upon creativity, message, and skill against property value and safety. A work of art on a boring old brick or concrete wall are one thing; a work of art covering an airplane windshield or stamped on a nation landmark are another entirely.

It really comes down to the artist's own discretion.

Anonymousnoreply@blogger.com
